What Everyday Tutor does
Everyday Tutor answers questions inside lessons, explains worked examples step by step, and rephrases concepts at different difficulty levels until the learner says it makes sense. It is available across math, reading, science, languages, and the testing verticals.
Tutor responses are age-aware. Early-elementary learners get simpler vocabulary and shorter sentences. Secondary and college learners get the depth and notation appropriate to the subject. The system prompt for each age bracket is published in the Koydo AI Safety doctrine and is reviewed against the COPPA standard.
What Everyday Tutor will not do
Everyday Tutor will not make decisions that affect billing, account access, eligibility, parental controls, or legal rights. Those actions route to human review per /legal/automated-decisions.
For under-13 learners, Everyday Tutor refuses adult content categories and processes voice (pronunciation practice) without storing a biometric template — voice clips are sent to the model and immediately discarded.
When learners should use Deep Help instead
If a learner needs extended chain-of-reasoning support on a hard problem — multi-step calculus, a tricky proof, a complex chemistry mechanism — Deep Help is the right tool. Deep Help is a separate Koydo method documented at /methods/deep-help.
