What Is Culture?
Culture is everything a group of people shares. It is the language they speak, the food they cook, the songs they sing, and the holidays they celebrate. Your family has culture too, like a special meal or a fun birthday song. People learn their culture from their family and friends, and then they share it with others. Culture makes each group of people special and interesting.
Same Needs, Different Ways
Around the world, communities can look very different. Some people greet with a bow, and some people wave. Some eat with chopsticks, and some use a fork. But every single person needs food, water, and a safe place to live. Those needs are the same everywhere. The fun part is that each culture meets those needs in its own special way.
