When a cycle is open, the official entrant may submit an online entry by clicking Enter Now once the requirements are met. Eligible entrants may instead request mail-in entries up to the same per-category cap, as described in the Official Rules; mail-in requests require postage but no account activity. For a learner under 18, a parent or legal guardian must be the official entrant and submit the entry on the learner’s behalf.
At the end of each 90-day cycle, one eligible entrant in each category is selected by random draw if that category has an eligible entrant. When a positive Monthly Spark amount is posted for a month, one prize is drawn at random after that month from that month’s eligible entries. If the posted amount is $0, no Monthly Spark prize or drawing is offered for that month. For November 2026 only, instead of the ordinary one-prize Monthly Spark drawing, up to three winners each receive one $25 Apple Gift Card, drawn from eligible entries earned during November 1–7 and valid monthly mail-in requests postmarked November 1–7. If fewer than three distinct eligible entrants are available, prizes are awarded to as many distinct eligible entrants as possible, one prize per person; remaining prizes are not awarded. Mail-in alternate method of entry (AMOE; no entry fee; entrant pays postage): Each official entrant may submit one request per cycle.
