These rules govern the Koydo Spark Awards promotional sweepstakes. By entering, participants (or a parent/guardian on behalf of a minor) agree to these rules.
Draft — pending final legal review before any prize cycle runsNO PURCHASE OR SUBSCRIPTION IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE OR SUBSCRIPTION WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.
The Spark Awards are sponsored by Koydo LLC, 940 W FM 544, Suite 332, Wylie, TX 75098, USA (the Sponsor).
The Spark Awards run in recurring award cycles of approximately 60 days. The start and end date of each active cycle is posted in the app and on the Spark Awards page. The Sponsor may add, pause, or end cycles at its discretion.
Entries (Spark Tickets) are earned for free through ordinary learning activity on Koydo — for example completing lessons, maintaining a streak, exploring subjects, or referring friends — as described on the Spark Awards page. No payment is required to earn entries.
Free Alternate Method of Entry (AMOE): To request entries without any learning activity or purchase, hand-print your full name, address, email, and the phrase Koydo Spark Awards Entry on a 3-by-5-inch card and mail it to the Sponsor address above. Each valid mailed request receives entries equal to the maximum a participant could earn for that cycle by other means. Limit one mailing per outer envelope; mailed requests must be received before the cycle closes.
All entries — however earned — are pooled together and have identical odds. No method of entry confers better odds than any other.
Koydo+ is a paid subscription sold for its learning value (additional learning capacity and features). A Koydo+ subscription confers no advantage in the prize draws.
A Koydo+ subscription is never required to enter or to win the general prize draws and does not improve the odds of any entry. Any participant can obtain the same number of general-draw entries for free through learning activity or the Free Alternate Method of Entry above.
Entry caps for each cycle are described on the Spark Awards page. A participant may win no more than one prize in any 90-day period across all categories.
Winners are selected from the combined pool of all eligible entries by a random, weighted, or panel-judged method as specified for each category, at the close of each cycle. Decisions are final.
Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received for the applicable category and cycle.
Prizes are physical, non-cash items intended to support learning (for example tablets or comparable educational devices). There is no cash alternative and prizes are not redeemable for cash. The specific prize and its approximate retail value (ARV) for each category are posted for the active cycle.
Total prize value awarded across all cycles in any calendar year is managed to remain at or below applicable state registration thresholds; where a promotion exceeds a threshold, the Sponsor will register and bond as required by that state.
Potential winners are notified by email at the address on the account, and may be required to verify eligibility and complete an affidavit and release before a prize is awarded. If a notice is undeliverable or a winner does not respond within the stated time, the prize may be forfeited and an alternate selected.
Winners are responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes on prizes. Where required by law, the Sponsor will collect a completed Form W-9 and issue a Form 1099 for prizes meeting the applicable reporting threshold.
Information submitted is used only to administer the Spark Awards and the participant's Koydo account. For learners under 13, the Sponsor obtains verifiable parental consent before collecting personal information, consistent with COPPA. See the Koydo Privacy Policy.
For the list of winners for a completed cycle, a written request may be mailed to the Sponsor address above within 90 days of that cycle's close.
